    Question H.r. 1841

    Hello all.

Question for the Feds here. I was reading up on the CBP Officer pay scale and retirement and I stumbled across H.R. 1841 where they are trying to get CBP Officers "Law Enforcement Status" What exactly do they mean? I though US CBP Officers were law enforcement. What exactly do they mean?

Also, Does CBP have any type of FOB or PBA? Just curious.

    Thanks!

Strangely enough Customs Inspectors & CEOs are not considered "law enforcement" officers along with VA, FPS, DOD, and some others I can't think of right now. So they are not entitled to "6c" Federal retirement. Which basically means they cannot bring their accrued retirement "time" with them if they lateral into another Fed agency.
