    how come people dont want to be a us border patrol agent?

    USBP is a tough job in a tough location. However there have the toughest training for law enforcement in my opinion. Only job I can think of where you are required to learn Spanish and be good at it in order to graduate. Its no coincidence that you see LOTS of former BPAs working as special agents in various Federal Agencies.
