    Agricultural agent?

    I was wondering what the job title is for the guys who are stationed in the airport and ask if passengers are carrying any fruits and vegetables. I think they work for the dept of agriculture and not customs. Also, are these the same people who walk trained beagles around the airport to sniff out people's bags for food items?

    They are agriculture specialist. They are paid the same as other CBP Officers, but they are not armed. Under USA JOBS website there are many vacancies for the position which will give you a better understanding of exactly what they do.
