Hey ...well my fiancee is int he USSS UD and although they do have a high turnover rate, they also have a lot of guys and girls who love their job. I believe because he had military background t was easier for to adjust to this job, since he stood posts for four years in the military. A lot of people do join with the hopes of becoming an agent, and yes it is hard but it does happen. Not as infrequently as some are saying.

Hey my fiancee is in the USSS and he can carry off duty...and he does...i believe they only have jurisdiction in the dc area but can carry anywhere and assist anywhere...

USSS SA's will take from UD. Many of UD Officers have college degrees. There are many positions to choose from. They are allowed to carry their weapons anywhere while off-duty.

They have primary jurisdiction in DC, but may arrest or detain anywhere.
