I was just curious if anyone had info on this position. They seem to be offering some decent wages. Im curious what the work entails, scheduling etc, etc.

My wife left me alone with a case of Corona, a bag of limes and the cat. Beer is gone. What will I do with the extra limes and the cat?
It depends on the agency, and the division within. In some groups you will be editing reports. In other groups you will be reading transcripts, or newspaper clippings. Sometimes you will be analyzing hits on a computer web site, or studying foreign embassy radio traffic, or oil production figures from a designated region, or the movements of cargo traffic, or maybe just looking at crime stats and trying to figure out what bank will be hit next. Whichever kind of analyst job you wind up with, it will probably be long term and specialized with lots of training. Not too much call in Uncle Sam for an analyst who is jack of all trades but who is master of none. You didn't say what agency and what group in the agency, so a good answer is hard to give. There is some blurring between them. Where an analyst sits on the pecking pole also varies from agency to agency. Are they law enforcement? Sometimes.
Thanks for the start. I just saw it on the fbi site. Ive also heard that it is basically a career position with some people eventually becoming sa's. The announcement is a little vague, understandably so. If you know anything about the fbi position, id like to hear. Thanks
