Sorry, I didn't realize that until after already registering, that's why I made sure to put the disclaimer at the start of my post. Is there anyway to change usernames and leave 2501 open to someone else or should I just reregister under another name? Like I said, I'm a newbie and today is my first day; I'm not trying to step on any toes.

Don't think I'm trying to pick on you here (it doesn't seem that you do), as I'm just trying to help you out as the new guy here. I don't think a name change can be done (except perhaps by the site's administrator), however you can re-register under a seperate name. If you get picked up by DS, it would be no problem for you to use the 2501 username if you contact the site moderators to become a Verified LEO. Until then, it's probably best to use another username account so as to not breach the rules of the site.

No worries, I didn't take it that you were messing with me. As a newbie in any situation I always appreciate a friendly elbow to the ribs when I'm screwing up without realizing it.
