I was curious if anyone that has attempted to obtain a job with the Federal Protective Service Police, and if there is any indication of how many more police officers they may hire this year and the time frame. Also if anyone is knowledgeable as to the new job description of the FPS Police officers, since coming under DHS, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was told (by an FPS cop) that they are going to hire 800 this year across the nation in all categories (cops, agents, inspectors, pss). As far as the job description goes, try here:

I have tried to obtain some info twice since becoming a member, and getting any reply is like pulling teeth. Either no one knows much about the FPS PO's or they aren't telling.

As of right now is unkown how many positions will be opening up.
