Not sure yet but I've gotten myself somewhat sick from the nerves!
Prayers and other stuff may work greatly today ;)

Hey, I managed to pass mine. I really didn't expect it. I actually asked the evaulator, "Are you sure?" I was already talking to them about retesting, when she said I passed. So, hopefully in a week or two, I'll be able to put NR in front of EMT.
I could let you all wait but I won't but will save the details :p
I passed :D
Finished with a 91% in the class
But I'll save all the other good details for when I get home![]()
Congrats Hockey. Well done.

I *Insert multiple flipping words that I can't say or think of right now* PASSED!!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Now on to take my National Registry (but if MDEMT can pass it, I'm in good shape. No worries there)
I will admit it was very VERY nerve racking. I was sick this morning from the nerves, but yeah
Oh yeah we had to do BOTH Trauma and Medical assessment. It was easy. I was just nervous and I'm quiet for tests for some reason but didn't hit any auto fails. Got max points on everything but for something on airway. But my teacher decided to test me on that so that really got the nerves up but I got it
You either know the general procedure and process of everything or don't. Theres no in between. I think just worrying so much is the part that will get you. Go in, breathe and just relax. I found out it works really. We had some of the best proctors, they all work for the same company and MOST of them would help you out or give you hints that make you go oh duh! I didn't have any (other then my teacher) that stayed quiet the entire time. We'd get a scenario (Much different then the sheets) and have to go from there.
I quickly learned how to apply a Sager Splint (The patient was our instructors daughter so that made it a LOT more fun ;) :p)
I had a partner for that one because it was getting late and all so he helped me but I quickly realized he had no idea wtf he was doing
Patient assessment, we had a lady that lives down the road from me so we were laid back really.
Some people in the morning class I know failed and had to retake a station. I don't think anyone at all in our class failed at all so thats good
Anyways I really appreciate all the wishes and prayers cause I really needed this...bad! :D
As I said, I got done with a 91% in the class. 3rd highest.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask I'll be more then welcome to help anyone or answer their questions on this now
Now just the pitty lil NR test. I can't set up a date till he sends all our paper work in so yeah.
I was going to go out and have a "good time" but with over a foot of snow en route, I'll decide not
Woot fricken yeah I did it!! :D :D :D
Well, if I'm ever laying by the side of the highway in Michigan, you have my full permission to work on me. ;)

If I don't end up getting hired by the other agency that's looking at me right now, I start my EMT classes on Jan 9th and finish up around May of 2008.
I'll be hitting you up with questions and such!! :p

Hell yeah! That's the one I want working on me. The one that double checks everything to make sure he didn't forget something. Not the cocky one that skips procedures because he "knows better". I've delt with far to many of those!
Congrats and go out the and knock em dead! (figuratively speaking) :D
Congrats!!!
At least you got the training. I've been trying to get USBP to train me as a EMT for like the last 5 years.
Last person they gave the training to failed the test like 3 or 4 times  and then promoted to a supervisor position
What a waste of a EMT spot. I have heard that they want to hold a class soon because we're down to only 3 or 4 guys who are EMT certified.
Congrats Hockey.
