    Question Morton's neuroma?

    Anyone ever have this?

I just wanted to post this before I go to sleep. But was just wondering if anybody had this before?

Saturday or Sunday (Can't remember what day it was) I was sitting in the vehicle at work and all of a sudden a sharp pain hit my left foot. Never really had the pain before but I asked a nurse and she said asked me where it was an I showed her exactly where it is bothering me. Well the pain didn't get better and it only got worse. So Monday I ended up going to my new doctor.

Mistake one there. He refused to do any xrays, and told me he would just take motrin and "tough it up". Well I told him I had better things to do with my co-pay instead of being checked out. So he told me if it doesn't get better in a month or so come back and he will give me a shot and see if that works

Sorry but you won't be touching my feet and start injecting stuff into my feet unless we know for sure whats wrong with my foot.

My Mom had the same thing and had to have surgery. If I have to have surgery, I wanna know now so I can have it done now and heal up before next year for the academy.

I'm going to pay more out of pocket but I'm going back to my old doctor.

The feeling is when I stand on my feet I can't put any pressure on it, it feels like my sock is crumpled underneath it, but I know its not.

I have a low arch but NEVER had this problem before. Just wondering if anyone had this before?

I had a Morton Neuroma and it lasted about 3-4 months. Felt like I was walking on a 1/4 inch piece of rock. My Chiropractor X-rayed and had an orthopedic MD 2nd the review. She suggested massage, soaking, stretching the foot, and said to wait on it, it should go away. It went away. I have other foot trouble from Parkinsons, but the Mortons neuroma was different, and temporary.

I did not go to a DPM Podiatrist. They tend to favor needles and surgery. Get more opinions. Your feet wiill get a pounding in the academy and recent surgery will not help that.

Is that where it feels like a big sharp piece of glass is poking into the sole of your foot? I experienced that a couple of years ago. It would just start up and go away thirty seconds later. It went away more permanently after a couple of months.

I think it might have been related to marching.
