Got a foot blister

I posted this up on the Verified side, figured I'd throw it over here too for any non-verifieds with some experience...

Got a foot blister the other day on the ball of my foot. It's been a real killer trying to walk. I have used a needle to open it up a couple times and drained out the fluids, but it's still killing me...

Anyone have any tried and true methods to correctify these situations?

Exactly what I was thinking. Honestly out of all of the blisters I got road marching I never found something that worked really well. I have heard about stuff that you can buy from a bath store to put in the tub that might help but I have no experience. My suggestion.....stop being such a baby and deal with it like a man:D

I got one at camp two years ago, and the second my counselors saw it they handed me a needle and everyone wanted me to pop it. I chose not. You never know what infections you can get from doing so.

I just kept weight off of it (on one of my big toes) for the rest of the camp week and when I went home we got a home-freeze kit. It took a few days but it eventually disappeared.
Oh yeah, I did put moleskin on the bottom of my shoe where my toe was so it didn't create friction and possibly tear the blister.

Panty hose work to. I know of quite a few people while I was in the service that used these on boot runs and road marches. A better pair of boots could work to. I know you have a nice pair but they were made for show not duty. Also they are cheap brand boots I would go with danner or bates or for 50 bucks I would get a pair of Magnums. I wore mine out from all of the wearing I did and I cannot remember ever getting any kind of foot pain with them.

You might try soaking the foot in Epsom salt. I heard it helps blisters heal and can draw out some of the pain.

you should see all the blisters i've gotten on my feet as a result of landscaping in steel toe boots. my feet look horrible now :mad:
