You might want to ask at the FDNY Rant website (it'll come up on a Google search). They can be a cranky bunch, though, so don't be shocked if they respond in a hurtful and demeaning fashion... ;)

Not yet! It is this damn wireless keyboard I have. When I type -t-h-e...it often comes out t-e-h. Same thing with other words! I have spoken to Microsoft who stated "Type slower. They keyboard is not as accurate as a wired one when typing fast." Maybe then should put that on the box before you buy it!
But as for my suggestion, if you think that makes me drunk, no way! That incident happened. It Tottenville section of Staten Island. They were all bored while on-suty and drinking a few brews. After severla hours, 2 guys start arguing. One picks up a chair, and literally raises it over his head and brings it down on his co-worker! It knocks him out and puts him in a coma!
So the Capatain on duty gets everyone together and explains "He fell down the stairs." Then, these guys load him into the back seat of the Capatains personal car and take him to the hospital with that story! They don't use their EMT skills and stabilize his spine.....no 911 call.....no police...no request for an ambulance! He also told tehguys to clean up all evidence and get rid of all garbage, off property!
Only after ther ER saw the MRI's, x-rays and CAT did they know he did more than fall. They called NYPD and they witnessed the doctor question the Capatin. Capatin came clean. By the time they went to the firehouse, all evidence was cleaned and they were all eating/drinking lots of water. Not to mention 6 hours had passed!!!! Typical day at FDNY!
Other station in Harlem had a firefighter junkie. She visited often. And, she did gang-bangs with them in the firehouse! That blew up when she was unwillingly refused entry one night and sang like a canary to all!
Another engine company on the upper west side has a soda machine in their bay. But don't dare hit grape soda. Otherwise you get Bud Light.
A Ladder Company in Queens was doing a lot of work at the station-house. They were building a deck for a guy at his house. He happned to hire a FF who had a contracting business on the side adn offered a bonus for being done by the weekend. They brough the truck, plugged in the generator and tools and went to work in full uniform! Too bad they were reported by a Sanitation worker who was this guys neighbor and pissed!
And don't get me started about all the thefts! You have 35,000 cops and less than 100 accusations of thefts by perps and citizens. You have less than 1/3 of that in fireman in the City and you had over 265 complainst of "missing property" after a fire/rescue call. Hmmm.....
ou can have 15 cops in a building on fire searching apartments.....and have no issues. The heroes show up and after everyone retu

Ahhh, firefighters. The stories I hear about firefighters in my city are only reaffirmed as the truth as we talk of them. Everytime I see a firefighter license plate I can't help but grin from it.
Wait is all that stuff from the show Rescue Me or somethin?
Yawl gotta understand that I'm not from around that area.
LOL on some of the posts on this. I'm a volley FF, does that make me a bad person?:p
As for the person who started this thread, yes, I'm taking the FDNY test on Sat. Good luck with it and study. It's a pretty difficult test.
The agility test shouldn't be that hard for me considering that I am pretty freakin good hosedragger.:D
