    AED Save on video

I figured you folks might enjoy the link below. I also posted it on the firehouse forums, but it is important that everyone realize the signfiicance of having an AED as close as possible.

This happened at our airport on October 11, 2006. The officer shown actually witnessed the patient collapse right outside the ticketing level. He is an EMT and CPR Instructor and immediately initiated live-saving care. If you notice the video, the AED arrives 24 seconds after he started chest compressions. The AED shocks at 1:03 in the video. After one shock, a pulse is regained.

Any chance I can use this for my AED training sessions?
    Hand in Hand!

What about those that have to do both?

Very nice! I'm also impressed with the quick back-up response. Good job to all involved!

Was this a public-access defib, or one carried by your department?

We have over 20 public access AED's in the main terminal. The one used in the video was one we have on our medical cart. It's sort of a mini-ambulance/golf-cart with stretchter, medical equipment, etc. located also in the main terminal.
