This quarter I have a relief post, which I enjoy as it breaks up the monotony.
At the end of my week, I have two days in SHU (Special Housing Unit) in what I will call our "Special Unit".
The Marshals drop off a new guy, as they are apt to do (the shift before me)
And I show up early, being a good relief.
It seems this new guy was under the impression that "Special Units" didn't have a SHU for you to sit in until you get processed.
Said thug also stated that he had spent "the past 6 months in seg."
Why then, being such a hardened criminal, does he have such a hard time accepting things like:
1. Give me your meal tray now.
2. No, I don't have shower shoes for you. Deal with it.
3. No I will not give you a plastic bag to stand on.
4. No, I'm not telling you that you can't take a shower. I am simply stating I have nothing to give you to stand on.
As long as he doesn't start flinging poop, the day should go smoothly from here on out.

I have to admit that I'm addicted to watching prison documentaries, like the ones MSNBC shows late night (especially if it goes into prison gangs). You guys have a tough job, and I'm glad the criminals I arrest are out usually no longer my problem once they're taken to the jail. You got my respect.
Most likely he was in seg because he is a b*tch. Plain and simple. I learned a long time back that the ones that brag on their time and flap their gums are the biggest hose-bags in the building. They are the ones that yell crap at you out the window of the dayroom and scream about "wait until I catch you in the hall". And it is amazing what happens when you step right into said dayroom and ask them to repeat themselves.
Now, the ones that stay under the radar and keep quiet are usually the ones that have a serious shank, dig in the walls, make mash, or are getting the contraband in. THOSE are the ones I worry about.
Have fun with your new turkey.
By the way, why is it when you take a "normal" inmate and put him in a watch cell (rubber room) he will always start playing with his own doo doo? WTMFH?
At our main compound we had this guy who would paint himself up, pop off his sprinkler head, and then right when we got a team to the
door, he would comply.
He just liked F'ing with the system, because we can just go in anymore once they comply.
They tell me we used to use water cannons on the poo painters.
I think we still should. Saves us from having to go in on that.
