    Connecticut corrections question.

I have 3 questions that I hope can be answered here.

    1) Once you are accepted within Connecticut Corrections, I assume that you have no say to which facility you are placed. But after putting your time in can you request a transfer to another facility?

    2) I noticed that the starting pay after training is 38,387, does that go up every year or 5 years? How does advancement and raises work?

    3) This is what it says on the Corrections website for retirement.

RETIREMENT: Hazardous duty classifications, like Correction Officer, contribute 5% of their salary toward retirement. Employees are eligible to retire after twenty (20) years of hazardous duty service, regardless of age.

So i assume that the above means that you can receive a pension after 20 years of duty, and the pension is from the 5% of their salary pay?
