First, to the mods, I'm under the impression that the SCSO operates as a Corrections Dept, so thats why I posted it in the DOC area. If it's in the wrong place, I apologize, and feel free to delete/move as necessary.
I was looking into the SCSO's website, and under employment, it lists 2 positions: Corrections Officer and Deputy Sheriff. I'm thinking the difference is that the CO works in the prison system, and the Deputy works on patrol, similar (though I know there are differences) to PD?
Are they two seperate tests? Or is it one test, where the Dept. places you where needed? Or can you choose? I have heard that that in NYS there is a DOC test that will send your scores to the different SO's? Is this true? Or does the SO pick off the same lists as the PD?
Thanks a lot,
Chris
