Private citizens from my state have the authority to make "Warrentless Arrest by a Private Person" for Murder, all felonies, and certain misdemeanors commited in their presence. As to my understanding most other states also have laws similar to ours.

Does that make every Joe Somebody a "Law Enforcement Officer"?

I know its not negotiable it was just somethings i found in about 2 sec doing a search. I came to the corrections link just to see what the others c/o think about this and to put my 2cents in. I just think its funny how many street cops came to the "correctons" site to read about us. What nothing good anywhere else?
