What are the two starting months for the New York City Department of Corrections Academy?

Based on your other posts, this seems liks a career for you! You will do well in NYC DOC.

No set months...just as they need bodies.

so I am wondering if there is anyone here who has been notified for the scheduled January 3, 08 academy class for nyc doc. I have completed all steps and submitted every single paper.

I am in and hired for the january 7 ems fdny class, but i really want corrections. Dont want to bother or get on my investigators nerves, but ...well, this is where the discipline I will need in the academy kicks in. (i guess.) lol

i had trouble with my last log in, so i had to re-register with a similar log in...from sofocused to sofocused2.

i want to post an update to the question about when will the nyc doc academy start for january 08. original start date was january 3, but it is now post poned to january 17. more waiting, more anticipation, more time to get the call which means i am in and that would be wonderful.

Dose anybody Know if they are still calling people for Fire Safety? I still have not been called and I'm wondering if that means something went wrong. Its all ready Jan 2 and academy starts the 17th. And has anybody all ready did Physical Agility? was it easy or hard? Thanks

No it wasn't hard. The gear that they put on you weighs about 15 pounds, but if you are in decent shape, you will still pass. I have completed everything and still have not heard anything from my investigator.
