New York City Corrections Process

Hey Co,

I recently have taken and passed the NYCCo exam in August. I recieved a score in the early 80's. Do you happen the know the time frame on when the Department of Corrections will contact me?I know through the civil service newspaper about the shortage of man power so that is the reason why I was hoping soon. Do anyone have any idea?

i think you mean you scored a grade in the LOWER 80's. Not the early 80's. Lol if youve been waiting since the early 80's for this job i think you should move on :D:rolleyes:. It should be a quick process. I would think less then 6 months from what ive heard.

Yes six months sounds about right, but it could be longer. With corrections, (especially NY) you test and wait, just like most Police jobs.
