I know the original civil rights act of 1964 was enacted to protect blacks and woman from discrimination on the job. Would the supreme courts ruling in favor of the fighter fighters in this case allow white employees to be considered a protected group also? Specifically in communities where Caucasian ethnicity is a minority.

I seriously doubt it. People have been losing reverse discrimination suits for years. This was a very narrow issue they addressed.

That's a rarity. People out here on the left coast have pretty much given up. White males are routinely discriminated against in my department and have been since the early 70's.

One example, if you're a minority and apply for the Portland police, personnel will invite you to take a class on taking the entrance exam. If you're a white male, they say nothing. IF you know about it and ask, they will allow you to take it. In one Lt's exam sign up, they sent notices of the 8 hour sign up window to only female and minority sergeants. The union protested, but the courts told them, "tough".

Courts have upheld it, Norm. We have a smaller African American population than the South by far, but the liberals out here are afraid to death of any of their activists. Whites are always losing college entrance quota programs. In fact, I think I read that the doctor admitted to U of California medical school over a white guy name Baker that scored higher and was more qualified lost his license because of continuing malpractice cases.
