OK - though not technically I'm not a CJ major, I am in criminal justice and I am a student again, so funk it.
I just started another class for my degree (MBA) and I hate it already. To start with, the material is not terribly interesting to me. It's just not. But, it's a required course. Secondly, I have weekly homework, which is so 9th grade I can't stand it. I mean, this partiicular course is completely an online one, so there must be something to grade us by, but still - the idea of "homework"... And this homework is real work. You know - MBA and all - the homework should be complex and time consuming. But piss on all that logical stuff.
And finally, the last course I had was a truncated one for the summer - well, at least truncated in that it was 5 weeks instead of 10. The course work, however, was not. In 5 weeks I had to prepare a book report over a book the instructor provided (had 2 days before that was due - welcome!), a 25 page company marketing anaylsis, a 25 page marketing plan with 20 min PowerPoint presentation, interview an executive and prepare a transcription of the interview and a paper detailing key things I learned, and write up a couple short (3 pages) case studies. So, I'm still a tab burned out.
Anyway - that's my ***** for the academic quarter.
