Is that a proven statistic? If so, that's pretty crazy!! I guess cause its the fact that so many people I know who are LEO went to college, so I guess I don't have the most broad view since I have a general feeling that everyone I competing with has a bachelor's. Thanks for the insight JRT.

BTW, JRT if you can give me a link or something like it would be VERY much appreciated, because I want to show a colleague that

That's a stat I was told way back in college. It's kinda of obvious though b/c I work with 1,600 other guys and I can count the number of CJ grads in my head. The chief dosen't even have one.
    I argue on the internet.

Well, not just CJ, but a bachelor degree in anything???? I know the chiefs and higher ups for bigger departments have degrees and what not.

There are a few if not as many non LE degrees walking around my platoon. I work with guys with degrees in Vetinary (sp) Medicine. But remember in these older departments that are civil service straight to the top a degree dosen't really get one anywhere. Most local departments are tiny and pay jack squat so you won't find degrees there. There are some departments that require degrees but these departments are the exception and many have had to relax that requirement in order to find qualified candidates.
    I argue on the internet.

I wouldn't mind working and going to school, but I go to school so I can one day have a job in LE.
I can't believe that your school didn't require you to take the GRE's? Like you I'm attending graduate school at the same school where I got my Bachelor's and the GRE was/is required for everyone by the time you have 9 graduate hours.

I had a 4.0 GPA and was still required to take the GRE.

So I would say yes if you transfer schools then you will have to take the GRE. I also wouldn't count on any of your classes transfering to the new school.

My last undergrad semester was an internship in another state, and I applied to grad school while there and had to take no GRE.
