    Having to be in the same state?

    If you went to school in oregon and got your criminal justice degree, could you get a job at a california police department?

    A criminal justice degree, or any other degree for that matter, does not guarantee you a career in law enforcement.

    Just make sure that your school is regionally accredited. There's a whole sticky thread on that subject in this section.

    Only if you APPLY to a department in CA would you get hired by them. ;) Where you got your degree is immaterial, so long as it's accredited.
