Would this be the right decision?

I have a strong interest in Criminal Justice. I've wanted to be to a cop since I would a young boy. It's all I want to do. I am currently in the military and I'm about 3 classes away from finishing up my General Ed classes with American Military University. I am currently enrolled in the Bachelors program for Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensics.

Now I realize that everything does not go as planned in this world, and a quick twist of the knee, or a sudden heart problem can jeprodize my chances of getting in the with NYPD in 2 and a half years(when I get out of the military). There is that slight chance that I might end up hating LE, and seek a way out.

Would it be wise for me to stop my CJ degree program right now, and switch to an Associates in accounting FIRST, and then finish my Criminal Justice degree?

I was reading over a lot of your posts, and it just seems to me, that maybe I made a mistake with jumping for a CJ degree and throwing it all on the line with a shot with the NYPD. I sure as **** am not staying in the military for 20 years, so that's counted out.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

If you like forensics why not go with a science degree intsead of a CJ degree. Getting a CJ degree won't really improve your chances in getting a job as an LEO. If you find out that you don't want to be a cop then you can use your science degree to get a job you are better suited to.
