There's a book called Criminal law and Procedure by John Scheb. It helps me out a ton. Good luck.:D

It's probably best to focus on studying the actual textbook given to you in the class and making sure you're timely in your homework assignments. Reading a bunch of other books won't necessarily prepare you for the tests given on your class textbook.

It really would depend on the classes. I'm a criminal justice major and the CJUS classes I'm taking this semester are CJUS Statistics, Juvinile Crime, and Sex Offenders. If you're taking basic 100 level CJUS classes, stick to your textbooks, the topic of CJUS is a very broad subject. If you're taking something more specific that you're interested in, say narcotics or gang activity or something else, then hit google, talk to your professors, or look at the bibliography of the textbook for your class. Normally, it will include a fairly long list of alternate texts you can use as supplemental material. Good luck. Hope you enjoy your classes.
