    HELP! confused...

I'm currently a sophmore in college and i need to declare my major. i'm in a intro to criminal justice course now and i like it. however, if i major in criminal justice, i'm going to have to take ALOt of cj courses the last 2 years of college now. besides that concern, i also am not looking to go into LE (more of a legal interest), but i think the major overall seems interesting. what should i do??!

I would recommend talking to a counselor at your school and/or family/friends who know you better...

CJ degrees are applicable to the CJ field. Law Enforcement is one aspect of the CJ field, but it also includes court administrators, corrections, probation/parole, juvenile justice, drug counseling, private security, and support positions within all the fields of the CJ system. You don't have to be a "cop" with a CJ degree, that's simply one avenue you can pursue.

Talk to your CJ instructors, find a field that interests you in the CJ field, and do your research.

If, however, you're interested in working in a field outside the CJ system (like Corporate America), I don't know how much a CJ degree will be of benefit to you.

Take the classes that interest you, if you take classes that don't you will not like going to them and you will not get good grades in the class.
