I just enrolled in a program in MN where you earn your associates in CJ then attend the "academy" all as one course. I had to get a background check, driving record check, get a physical, go through a psych eval, and do an interview with the program coordinator before they even let you enroll. After reading other posts, I have to assume this is rather rare but I certainly appreciate knowing if there is something that will disqualify me before I spend the money on a degree I can't use. I also know that in MN you need at least an associates in CJ or law enforcement and graduate the "academy" and pass the POST before you can get hired as a police officer.

    MrPete-

    Welcome to the forum.

We ask that threads that have been dormant for more than 45 days be allowed to rest in peace. This one is 18 months (or so) old.

There are a variety of more recent threads to comment on, or you can always start a new one.

    Thanks for your understanding-
