looking for a little information

Well I'm looking to soon pursue a career in law enforcement, and im wondering if i could get advice or if anyone here has some good links to some information. Just wondering about education, like is it better to go though get get like a specific degree in like criminal justice, or should i look around for a specific police academy first to pursue thing better?
