    Colleges in Georgia

I am a senior in high school and I am currently looking for colleges to attend next year. I am an Explorer in the local post and I have aske the Deputies where they have attended college and I have heard that one school is very good (Abraham Baldwin Ag. College) but it is four hours away and it is only a two year school. I eventually want to get into the DEA so I need a Four year degree at least, so my question is are there any colleges with very good and well know criminal justice programs in Georgia, or are all criminal justice programs the same so it wouldn't really matter where i went?

    Thank you for your help,
    Austin

P.S. I want to be involved with the explorers as long as I can and I also want to start working at the Local Sherrifs department, so I am looking for a college near Monroe Ga. (Besides UGA! I know it is there.)

As far as the feds are concerned (DEA included) having an accredited bachelor's degree is what's sought. Whether it's at UGA or some other college is immaterial. With DEA, they're also looking for other requirements (i.e. GPA wise), as their entry-level positions are at GS-07 last time I checked. For more info, go to www.dea.gov, look up Special Agent recruiting, and chech out the eligibility quiz.

Not sure if your still looking, or if anyone else is for that matter, but I am attending Thomas University online for CJ, and it seems to be pretty decent.

Ive never attending college before, and they are giving me a lot of credits for attending my GA POST academy, so all I have to do is complete 7 core classes for my AA, then I can get my BA in about 2.0 years (3.0 years total)
