Losing Accredition

This has been wondering around in my mind...

What would happen if I were to get an undergraduate degree, or any type of degree for that matter and the granting institution lost it's accredition? Would my degree be viewed as "void?"

I just had a friend who's high school lost it's accredition, five years after he graduated. I was just curious as to what that would mean for him. And yes, I did say High School :rolleyes: .

The State board of education would decide whether it is void or not. I knew of a school close to where I grew up that lost its accredition, but older students still went to college. I'd tell him to get a hold of the his state board of education.
