Looking for a school/degree program in your area?

I gave a good web resource for others to use in a recent response (see here: http://forums.realpolice.net/showthread.php?t=47671), but to hopefully circumvent a bunch of inquiries about how to find a college/CJ program/etc in a particular area, I'm making this single post available for all.

1) Go to http://univsearch.com/

2) Click on the state of choice (under Colleges by State).

3) For all schools listed, you will find information on the programs offered, whether the school is regionally accredited, and other important and relevant information you should consider when determining where you should enroll.


Another good idea is to use the Office of Post-secondary Education (a division of the US Dept. of Education) website for a search of nationally and regionally accredited degrees in your area (as well as other useful information): http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.asp

The only thing that I do not like about the site is that everytime I click on VA, I get VI. LOL Also I didn't notice a listing for science degrees, but could be that I was doing something wrong.

This is where I got my masters in CJ. This is an incredible school, one of the top 3 Graduate criminal justice programs in the country. The professors are world-renowned. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get an MA or PHD in Criminal Justice of Criminology.

Does anyone have any experience with online Criminal Justice programs? :confused: I am specifically considering Westwood Online, (hence my handel,) and I wanted to get peoples opinions about online programs, and if possible, the Westwood Online Criminal Justice Program specifically. I work for 2 online CJ colleges (manage a CJ department for one), and we have a VP here that came from Westwood College Online. What do you want to know?

I just dropped $1000 for summer sessions and books in ADJ. That will get me ten credits.
