Trailer Inspection

[humor me]

I was told by DMV that I had to have the VIN verified on my trailer prior to getting a plate. When I called to ask if they would perform an actual inspection, the lady on the phone said yes.

One of the wheel housing clearance lights broke off of the trailer while traveling over rough roads. Is this going to be enough to keep me from getting a registration?

The clearance light is not one you would find at a local store. Would it matter whether or not it matched the other clearance light?
