I'm currently in Denver on a layover. What's with all the wind out here? Turbulence out the wazoo. It was my approach and landing at DEN tonight...I really had to work it from about 3,000' AGL down to the deck. Nice wind shift (about 90*) at about 1000' AGL. Nutty. :eek:

I just moved back here to CO after living in CA for a year, and was in AZ for 2.5 years. Nice to be back.

I also moved to CA for a year and am now moving back to CO. Although it was not really my choice to come back, it was my wife's.:p I really can't complain though I like Colorado.

An old friend of mine was a pilot here. He always told me the front range is one of the hardest places to fly. The winds off the mountains are nasty and unpredictable. Beent o several starnge crashes here.
