Around here, they tend to be either falling space debris
or airplanes about to crash. Either way, it is probably a
good thing when people call them in.

I kind of agree with this but I don't think I could bring myself to bother the dispatchers to report it....as far as " sightings" go... Once when I was about eight or nine years old me , my sister and my parents was outside it was late around midnight and we seen six big orb like things flying in a pattern in the sky they were round like balls and huge when I say Huge atleast 30 ft in diameter....we watched them for hours until they finally faded...we never discovered the explanation for them...I'm 30 and have yet to see anything like it ever again

Why do people call the police to discipline their children?
Why do people call the police to file grudge charges for simple assault and then later request to drop the charges? Why do people call the police to when a fast food place screws up their order?

B/c the kids threaten to call and yell abuse?
B/c they are dumb and do it to get even not to actually correct the situation or get out of it their intention is to never get out of it they just want to attempt to get even..
hmmm not sure about the last one lol..... but I took a guess at the other two...I could never deal with the public like you guys and girls do on a regular basis...I've had my share of some crazies to though...
