Jeeze! Did he end up getting even ONE of those occupants?
LEO's for the Constitution
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.
"Wrong door, buddy!"
Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.
This is why you immediately fog up the inside with OC. Oops, I didn't say that, did I?
Serious note... We have bailouts all the time, but normally focus on immediately snatching the driver if we can do it without the officer safety violation of putting your back to the remaining occupants. If not, you often hear the stopping deputy radioing a good description of the driver and waiting for back-up before approach.
Setting up a perimeter and calling BP who can track like you won't believe is usually the way it is handled out here. They tend to walk right back to you when it's blazing hot and they know they are pinned in. No reason to chase them.
These border crossers and dope are not worth our lives.

I got to say, this video (minus the goofy music to make it look comical) really illustrates what a tough, and unique job the Border Patrol and border LE agencies deal with. When in uniform, I dealt with vehicles packed with thugs, but never a dozen all in the same vehicle.

At least when they're in a vehicle they are somewhat contained. You should see what its like when you bust a group in the brush and have a foot pursuit in 12 directions by yourself...
... here I was eager to read about the Day in the Life of the Border Collie...
Day in the life of a CBP Officer...
"USA JOBS, USA JOBS, USA JOBS... Oh, there it is. Oh look, ICE is hiring..."
"Oh!!! That's a good price even for Ebay! Bid on that!!"
"So you're coming from Bingo... Are you married? You know I get off work at 4... "
"Jumping Jacks... BEGIN!"
"I didn't ask you that, just take your passport and leave!"
"You draw - I'll draw.... I garuntee I'll get you first!!!"
*****just a little side note, this picture was taken a year or two ago in Detroit. The guy in the middle left and went to FLETC as an instructor and just came home this spring. He died last week. You'll be missed Bob!!*****
"You people make me sick... GOD I wish IEA would call!!!"
"CBP Officers? We don't need no more stinking CBP Officers!!!!"
:D
You need a picture of 3 or 4 CBPO's rolling one guy's prints and you'll have a complete set! One to roll, one to hold the armbar (on the compliant subject), one for backup, and a sup...
Thanks, I really hate that F'ing video!!!
If I remember right that was a stop in AZ.
Wrong door, buddy
I think it was out of Welton.
