What's the deal with all these people who say illegal immigration is a problem. Firstly, there is no proof that there has been an increase in illegal immigration in the last 7 years. Second is it really that bad for other people to come into our country.. I mean with the current economic climate wouldnt It be good to have cheaper workers. Discuss

Immigration is good.

It's what built our country. It's what makes America great.

But, people have to follow the rules. If people come over without following the rules, then we can't determine if they are gang members, terrorists, drug runners, etc.

Maybe YOU don't think it's important to enforce the laws, but some of us do.

Of couse it's big problem for States. These people that come into the States illegal are taking jobs away from US citizens, they dont pay taxs. All they do is make it twice hard for people like me who has been waiting for well over 2.5 years for a Permanent Residents visa. My wife back went to the States Feb 08 and we have not seen each other since.

Other than costing the US Taxpayer $113 billion per year, and taking up 5% of the overall workforce, it's no problem at all. Unless you are paying taxes or looking for a job.

Well first off illegal immigration is... umm... ILLEGAL.

It's not bad that other people come into this country, actually is pretty nice when people from other countries come to our great nation. The bad thing is that when they come here ILLEGALLY they are getting jobs that an out of work LEGAL resident or Citizen would other wise get.
If an illegal immigrant gets sick they go to the hospital but they don't pay their bill because the hospital doesn't know who they really are. Then whom do you think gets stuck with the bill?
Illegal immigrants don't pay taxes.
Many illegal immigrants will steal a person's identity in order to get a job. Guess what happens to the real person when the illegal immigrant doesn't pay taxes on his income.

If a person wants to come into the country it's perfectly okay to do so as long as they do it legally.
