Does anybody know the whole story? Was this related to the job (retaliation)?
The agent, 29, was with his wife on Newport Avenue near the Ocean Beach Municipal Pier shortly after 1 a.m. when they were confronted by four men and two women, police said.
Words were exchanged and one of the women attacked the agent, stabbing him multiple times in the lower back, police said.
Officers with the the state Department of Fish and Game who were nearby detained all six suspects until police arrived. The men and women were later booked into jail and Juvenile Hall on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Gang detectives are assisting in the investigation.
