Just wondering when I'm going to need a passport to go to Canada via land. If I'm not correct, its is June of 2009 right? My mom called me today asking me and I told her it was June 09 but she said its this Jan.
Thanks![]()

The original date was set as January 2008 (next month). Now it looks like it has been moved back a littel. The last memo I saw said that you will need oproof of citizenship to cross. That would be Birth Certificate, Driver's license, Etc.
Just remember that a DL by itse;f proves nothing so I would carry something extra like a copy of your Birth Certificate.
Unofficialy we were told that the need for Passports will not be until June or July of 08'. but as of now that's rumor.
Hockey, just get yer damn passport and quit worrying about it!![]()
"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq and everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us."
You will need a government issued photo ID and proof of citizenship (ie. a birth cert) as of Jan 31, 2008. Passports have been pushed back til at least summer of 2008.

Hey Kels, don't you have some ice to knock off or cows to move out of the middle of the road
Monday night at 3 am, 200 head got loose from one of the
feedlots during the ice storm. Two semis found them the hard
way. They just removed the 2nd semi from the ditch yesterday.
Thank god I was off that night.
Now back to the Canadian jokes, eh?
