BORDER PATROL CANINE SNIFFS OUT CROSS-BORDER DRUG TUNNEL, UNCOVERS NINE TONS OF POT

At about 5 a.m. Monday, a Border Patrol agent discovered an armed man and 860 bundles of marijuana after a Border Patrol canine alerted on a commercial storage trailer 360 yards north of the international border in Tecate, California. The dog alerted from hundreds of yards away, then led the agent to a commercial trailer in an area under recent construction. The agent heard commotion in the 30-foot trailer and spotted a man inside with a handgun tucked into his waistband. The subject quickly disappeared into a hole in the floor of the trailer.

Inside, agents discovered hundreds of plastic-wrapped marijuana bundles which filled half the trailer from floor to ceiling. The Border Patrol’s Special Response Team immediately responded to the location and secured the scene.

The Border Patrol notified Mexican authorities, and the San Diego Tunnel Taskforce will continue the investigation of this cross-border tunnel. The San Diego Border Patrol has discovered 18 cross-border tunnels since fiscal year 2006.

San Diego Chief Patrol Agent Mike Fisher commented, “The diligent actions of a motivated Border Patrol agent resulted in the discovery of this potential threat to our nation. We are committed to working with our law enforcement partners to detect these tunnels and ensure the safety and security of our communities.”

Man they must have been walking (crawling) back and forth in that tunnel for some time, to get 9 tons of marijuana into the trailer.

wonder how long the tunnel was, i just heard from a guy at work that they found a tunnel from Mex to texas where it was 16 miles.

Imagine if these people used their powers for good instead of evil.

There was a gang of morons that recently dug a tunnel from a vacant lot, under a construction site, under a building, with the plans of removing an ATM.

Now even if the ATM was full, what would they get? A couple of 100 thousand? At best. And how long would it have taken to dig that tunnel? And how many people? Wouldn't it have been a damn site easier to get a job diggin trenches???

BTW, the tunnel was discovered before they got there and they got diddly squat!!! Nice work IDIOTS!!! :rolleyes:

Ooohhh, some exciting news for Chewy... AMO just opened it's Detroit... I mean Great Lakes office and I had opportunity to get together with their Instructors. Now I've trained with BP, I'm trying to do a little with ICE, hopefully with Switch and now it looks like the AMO agents want to train with our Instructors too.... It's like I get to all this fun real "Police" type training without having to actually do the JOB!! :D I'll post pictures of me fast roping out of the helo wilst shooting the UMP sub gun and the M60 LMG once I get done with it! :p
