Police Preliminarily Identify Virginia Tech Gunman, Won't Release Name as Campus Reels From Tragedy

ADVERTIEMENT Police say they've preliminarily identified a gunman who massacred 32 people Monday at Virginia Tech in the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history, cutting down his victims in two attacks two hours apart before the university could grasp what was happening and get the warning out to students.

Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum would not release the name of the dead gunman, adding that the investigation was ongoing, and "we want to get it right."

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday night that authorities are investigating whether the gunman was a 24-year-old Chinese man who arrived in the U.S. last year on a student visa issued in Shanghai. Police believe three bomb threats on the campus last week may have been attempts by the man to test the campus' security response, the newspaper reported.

Also as far as I know he was from Korea not China. And YES he was a lawful U.S. Permanent Resident. We are so focused on the IRAQ war, the Mexican & Canadian borders and on other crap that we should not be. While from what I see the real terrorist are just skipping in to the U.S. with out any worries or problems. So sad that it took such a stupid president like the one we have now hear in the U.S. to get people to work together, hear at home. The bad part about it is that we are working together in a stupid way (Look at the Minute Men project) not in a smart way (Like we are trying to get IRAQ to do).

Focusing on our borders is crap? If uneducated Mexicans can figure out how to get here I'm sure Al Qaeda can too. Yea such a wannabe that I have been serving in the United States Coast Guard for over 5 years for dumb people that are not even American to come hear and live the way a rich person lives, while Americans that come from war with missing parts do not even get VA hospital benefits. I am not saying that the Mexican border or even the Canadian border should not be guarded but the way I see things is if your having problems with a person that lives a block from you, why would you be looking bad at the person next door to you that has just helped you.
Hints look at the history of Mexicans in the Military from before world war 1. Where the Jewish who they are now in the 40’s NOPE, but funny how a Jew has more then a Mexican hear in California now. I understand all the minutemen that will be butt hurt because they think they love America. I did not see any minuteman over seas in IRAQ or even hear on base in San Pedro California. But I have seen Mexicans as a fact even none Mexican Latinos serving the United States . 2nd Our armed forces needs people bad, worst then what we need old farts with guns that I have busted myself in San Diego with the local police department (SDPD) for being in the state of California’s borders with out a CCW. Minuteman you love America go over seas and show it, there is a war going on you know. Boy it feels good to put on my DHS USCG shirt, get some of my San Diego Police Department friends that are off work and bust some minuteman asses for coming to the state of California with out a CCW, the only way you will get out of that one is if you are a law enforcement officer, RETIRED officer, or have a CCW. Other then that down you go no matter who you are or who you know (This lady was thinking that because her boy friend was a cop from TEXAS that she could also carry a gun hear in the state of California, so I want up to hear and asked for a CCW. Sad for her she did not have one. So her minuteman husband flashed his badge and thought that I would back down. Little did he know a. I have a CCW and b. I was working with local off duty officers that came grabbed his girl friend in front of he and myself and took her in). Question does that make me a minutemen, since I am enforcing the laws at the border???? LOL….
I Can give a crap on what people think, just don’t come to my home pushing your rules and ideas or we will have a real good fight. In Puerto Rico the people there do not want the U.S. Navy there, but the U.S. Navy is still there. Her in California and many other states people do not want the Mexicans to be hear but hear they are. So why do the minuteman think that the U.S. can do anything they want like they are doing in Puerto Rico, but want the world to show them respect???? Puerto Rico is part of the U.S. so why are there no minuteman over there going head to head with the Navy? I know why because the National Guard and local police in Puerto Rico will steep all over any protester or minuteman that starts crap over there. That is the same thing I am trying to do with local law enforcement and federal law enforcement hear in California where if you go get in the way of the CBP officers in the border you go to jail for interfering with federal law enforcement work, like the minuteman do with the border patrol hear in California. All of the CBP officers I know in San Diego, from the most white officer to the brownest officer say one thing THE MINUTEMAN ARE IN OUR WAY AND THEY WONT LET US DO OUR JOB. I tell them it is time to get DHS FPS (DHS Federal Protective Services) to come down and bust some minuteman asses. FPS also guards the U.S. Coast Guard base hear in San Pedro California.

Whether or not you agree with what the Minutemen are doing, there is no need to attack them in such a manner. For the most part, they are doing nothing more than reporting illegal border crossings, how is that stopping the USCG from doing their jobs?

I am very very sorry about the foul language.... With respect to you sir all I can say is you should of read the full post before talking. I did not say that the minuteman where stopping the USCG (U.S. Coast Guard) from doing our work. I said that the minuteman get in the way of the CBP officers (Customs & Border protection). Any CBP for the most will say what I am saying about the minuteman getting in the way.
Also I did NOT say that the USCG polo shirt gave me any authority, that’s just what I put on and some of my friends that are USCG reserve members and also SDPD (San Diego Police Department) put on for identification reasons with our self’s, the SDPD (San Diego Police Department), and CBP. Unlike the minuteman we let the local law enforcement and federal law enforcement know who we are and what we will be doing. But the shirt has no power nor did I ever say it did. And even with out any shirt, badge, or gun I would go down there and enforce the CCW law as a vigilante just like most of the minuteman are doing now with the border. They can do it, so why cant I?
Just so you know the polo shirts are blue with big white words on the back that say U.S. Department Of Homeland Security. In the front of the shirt it has the DHS logo and under the DHS logo there are some words that say DHS Founding member, to the left of the shirt in the front are our last names and USCG member #. Also unlike the minuteman we like to let the people we deal with know who we are and why we are there (Even if those people are minuteman). Sometime my friends will use there SDPD polo shirts that have the words San Diego Police Department on the back with the SDPD badge in front of there shirt. There shirt also does not give them power, but they us it like I said for identification with other officers (Local or Federal).

I feel like I lost about 5 IQ points reading that post.

Most of the minutemen ARE vets, many are combat vets at that. You seem to revel in running down a group of people who wish nothing more than to preserve the integrity of our borders. From several of your incoherent posts I can surmise that you'll never be half of what some of those men are. IMHO...
