I Got My CPB Test Results

WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-HHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO a 101. Gotta love the military.:D Now I can sit back and wait for the rest of the system to catch up.:D
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

Translation for the intellectually challenged: If the government screws the people too much, it is the right and duty of the people to revolt and form a new government.

Alright!!! Nice Score. What did they give you for veteran points? Tucson gives 5 and so does Highway Patrol I believe, sure does help. But it sounds like you don't need it. How does it compare to the ASVAB?

Thanks. I don't want to mention names but they inadvertantly included someone elses results with mine all I have to say is DAYMN that person made me feel stupid. I don't remember much of the ASVAB, it was over 15 years ago. I do know this test was much shorter. Disabled Vets get 10 points. My disability is................heartburn. Kind of funny the military gave me heartburn so now I get preference.

Actually it's a hiatal hernia, but the VA labeled it heartburn, and various other military doctor screw ups.

Where are your geo preferences at? You lucky guys now get about two pages to pick from. They told me El Paso, Texas, GS-5, take it or leave it...tell me now!:p

I took it like the little groveler that I was too. Been good to me for the most part.

Right now I have Mississippi, but I want to add Louisiana.

CBP is Customs and Border Protection, its the merged conglomerate of Immigration, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Border Patrol.

The Border Patrol really only got a different patch out of it, but we in the other two agencies got tipped upside down.

Anyone know how long it should be before we, who have already taken the test, receive some notice on the Video-Interview? For some reason I thought it was supposed to be about 8 weeks, but that is turning out wrong.

I didnt take a Video-interview. I took the test in December and I just had my oral interview a couple weeks ago. You take the medical/physical first. Thats about 5 weeks after you get your written test results. I passed all that and I am now waiting for word on what is next. I believe its the background check. Count on that taking a while because its the government after all.

I just went through a background investigation for a security clearance. The OPM investigator said the company put a priority request on it. It still took 6 months to receive the interim clearance. So the CBP one is probably going to last a bit longer.

Well, I received my test results a while back. I'm still waiting for the next step. I hear the government can take a while, which is proving to be true. Thanks for the post.
