    ICE vs. CBP

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between these two agenices. Such as what they enforce and where they are stationed? Also, are they merging together?

First, no, they are NOT merging together.

USCBP= comprised of Inspectors and Customs Officers from the former U.S. Customs Service, as well as Border Patrol Agents from the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (hence their name, "Customs and Border Protection"). Check out cbp.gov for more details.

ICE= comprised of Criminal Investigators (i.e. Special Agents) from the former INS and US Customs, as well as Officers/Inspectors/Special Agents with the Federal Protective Service. Previously also housed the Federal Air Marshal Service, however this was recently moved back to the Transporation Security Administration (still under DHS, but separate from ICE). Check out ice.gov for more details.

Almost correct. CBP = Customs and Border Protection. It is comprised of Inspectors from the former US Customs Service, Inspectors from the former Immigration Service, Inspectors from Animal Plant Health Inspection Service and last but not least US Border Patrol. Now to also include Air and Marine Operations division which is further specializing into CBP air.
