I agree with Buchanan 100%. Can anyone defend Bush on this issue?
Vincente Fox must have naked pics of W...

All I have to say is the next election preparation is already rolling.
I am suspicious of the real motive behind Hillary, Richardson and Napolitano, and have no doubt about the motives of Buchanan who one may remember ran against W in the first election and got stomped.
You know how you folks, especially the experienced officers, get those warning bells going off when you see a ****bird up close?
I had to opportunity to be within two feet of Buchanan when he diverted the pre-planned travel route in our city during the first election. He decided to get a cup of coffee from a local convenience store and the Secret Service guys were freaking out just a bit. We went with a few agents to secure the parking lot of the store and check inside before Buchanan arrived in his RV.
I am telling you folks, there is something just not right with that guy when you are looking in his eyes and within his "aura" area. He scares the crap out of me with some of his radical right wing stuff he has been coming up with.
Now, before anyone goes off on me about the UDA problem, remember I live and work here in Arizona and I know what the problem is and how bad it is.
I am only commenting on motives of these snaky politicians.
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
I agree 100 percent on his stance on illegal immigration, it's humorous how none of the politicians never touch on the topic when it comes down to 1 on 1.
CatDoc, I'm not saying that you aren't right about PB, but on this particular issue, whatever his motives, he is dead on the money. I know that the border states get hit a lot more than we do in Kentucky but it's simply amazing to me how openly these illegal aliens live and thrive in the US.
They know that once they make it past the Border Patrol they are home free unless they do something stupid like commit a felony and get the attention of the local police. Fifteen years ago, you needed a bus load of illegals to get the attention of INS. I could load up 15 buses of illegals from our small town alone. Lexington has one area that is probably home to several thousand illegals. I can only imagine what the big cities are dealing with.
Something radical really does need to be done. It's embarrassing when someone like Hillary Clinton cares more about border security than President Bush does. It's also pretty bad when English is the second choice of languages on most businesses auto-answering services!
"If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain."- Unknown (NO...it wasn't Winston Churchill!)
757, this is exactly why I put the disclaimer in there that I am aware of the Undocumented Alien (UDA) problem and am sick and tired of the weak protection we have from the criminal element that makes the east coast mafia look like junior high kids when it comes to the animalistic viciousness of their violence.
My comment, again, was on the sneaky *** motives of the politicians. This is a shot they can get in at our President. I doubt their stance is as staunch as their press releases appear.

I love you Bro! Seriously, I am pretty damn conservative, but this guy's elevator does not run to the top floor.Originally Posted by DC Law

BTW I say to my fellow Republicans- it's ok to point out a Bush mistake, it doesn't make you a Liberal by default.
I simply don't understand how Bush can be so tough on issues of Homeland Security abroad yet does practically nothing about the border issue.
It defies logic.

Ah, but your original post invited opinion of Buchanan. Nobody was attempting to injure you, just pointing out that Buchanan is a nut job.Originally Posted by BrickCop
And Hillary, Janet and Bill should be looked at with suspicion, as their stance can easily be viewed as self serving in the upcoming election.
I did not see the "boys" (I or DC) defending President Bush and you should not feel attacked just because you agree with Buchanan 100%.

*Looking around the room* Who feels "injured" or attacked? I'm a big boy, it takes a hell of a lot more than that to make me feel violated... :DOriginally Posted by Cat_Doc
You are right about how I worded the title of the post. I also agree with you 100% about the communist Hillary and her crew. I just don't get why you felt the need to qualify your reluctant critique of Bush by including a mention of a slimy Democrat or two? I voted for Bush twice but I'm not going to be a bobble headed lemming who nods my head in support on every decision he makes.
(BTW I'm not saying you're a BHL, just making a point. Besides I was just waiting for the chance to use that line :D ).

I just read through the posts again, and I must stand corrected.Originally Posted by BrickCop

Please accept my apology for the "injured/attacked" verbiage as it was the result of misinterpretation on my part.![]()
Since there is a record of misinterpretation in this thread, just where did I indicate a "reluctant critique of Bush"???
If I failed to properly articulate, again, my apologies.
I intended to go a bit deeper than a simple hoorah for the article by Buchanan.
Like a game of chess, I was looking beyond the pawn placed in a precarious position in the hopes one would grab it and set themselves up for the defeat of checkmate.
My point is that it sounds like the left wing liberals and one overly aggressive right wing nut have suddenly taken on the cause of tightening our border, when I actually perceive it as a political ploy.
I do not think for one second that Janet actually desires to aggressively interdict the UDA movement. She could have done that a long time ago.
She, Hillary and Jim have sat with advisors and decided to pull this publicity stunt in an effort to garnish votes. Jeez, just look at the timing.
I don’t expect you to look back through all my posts in this forum, but you can take my word for it, I am appalled at the lack of protecting not only the borders of California, New Mexico and Texas, but my own state of Arizona.
While assigned to homicide, we struggled with an ever increasing amount of murders committed by UDAs. Persons Crimes struggled with an ever increasing amount of aggravated assaults, carjackings, home invasions, etc., associated with UDAs.
I would love to see our President become more aggressive against this illegal activity, if not with federal human resources and equipment, then with funding provided to the state level to handle the crisis.
Again, I was not defending Bush, as much as I was suggesting we look a little deeper at the motives and sincerity of our three left wing friends and the nut who wants to invade Mexico City.
