34,000 Illegals sent packing

The US government is flying 34,000 illegals home to Mexico. Good news. It's not much, but it's a little good news, and at least they are being taken home rather then just dumped on the Mexican side of the border....and somehow, it's even cheaper then last year's effort.

Immigration issues are always a hot topic here in Florida. Thanks for the article. Years ago they used to pay us for every illegal alien we found. A bounty of $10-$25. Those days are over because I would have long since retired. I meet almost a dozen illegals every day at work.

$418 per illegal to send them all the way home, rather than just to the border so they're not crossing it again the next day. This way it may take a whole month for them to come back. And considering there are well over 1 million illegal border crossings every year, it makes TOTAL sense to spend this much money to send 34,000 illegals back.

I think it would be better if we took all the illegals and flew them to Iraq. Then tell them that if they fight for us for a year or two and live to talk about it we will give them a green card! It will give them something to fight for and hopefully make them effective; cause our guys to die less; and give us more manpower over there!
