It would be especially nice to get a director and some Chiefs that actually wore a gun at some point in thier career. It gets tireing getting policies handed down from people who have never done our job and, a lot of which, don't even have much of a clue as to what we REALLY do.
Isn't that just the way it is!!! Management's never done the job -- yet they're more than willing to tell others how they're supposed to do it. Makes me wonder how they got up so high. -- Don't answer that. :p

I'm sure they will just put one of our current morons into the position. Fortunatly I don't have to work out there anymore because I can't hold my tongue when I dissagree with things and if I were still at the airport I'd probably get fired!!

I don't give her enough credit to have lackeys but the other kindred spirits like her are definatly everywhere in our port.

    Professionalism

After all that browbeating and scolding honest inspectors just trying to do their jobs. It always seemed like somebody had royally screwed up, the way she talked about professionalism, integrity, etc. Maybe she was trying to convince herself and everybody else that she was the epitome of those qualities. Obviously not. The tone and look were always full of hate, as if the officers were committing crimes or shaming the company.
In reading the entire case, line by line, it looks solid. Her co-conspirator is now "Cooperating Witness #1" and the mechanic rolled over like a ball bearing.
Now she and her attorney (of the same law firm "Cooperating Witness #1" used for his defense) are trying to suppress all the evidence based on the four year delay from incident to indictment, the death of her mother who was to be a witness in her defense, etc. Anything to confuse the issue and deflect accusations.
May her defense be a good one, else the only question left would be:
    "Top or bottom bunk?"

Chewy remember Larry Allen the fmr II who they busted in El Paso in 2002? He was a GS-9 step 4 making around $45,000.00 a year. However, he lived in a house which cost $275,000.00, owned 2 SUV's, bought a Harley Davidson with cash, and never worked any overtime. I just missed it when the FBI and our OI came and arrested him. They showed up at the port to take him into custody there, but he must of been tipped off, because he just stayed home for the day. They went to his house and got him, and the news was all over it. His wife was a Mexican national who only married him to use his position to pass loads down the road. Once he did it the first time, they owned him forever. They recorded him, and black mailed his *** into doing it repeatedly. The dumb *** later on volunteered to go into the general population at La Tuna Prison. Boy is stuck on stupid.

Well, it appears that Caganap's departure from Detroit Metropolitan Airport has ushered in a slew of investigations on most of her underlings, if the rumors are to be believed. Plus, morale among the troops has gone up tremendously, with the exception of those who are now under scrutiny. On the other had, it looks like our union president was abruptly removed from office by our national board. No explanation yet as to why the board took such drastic action.

    Just another day in paradise...
