I know they don't get far most of the time, but when they succeed, how far do they get?

They are every where.Border to border. Sea to sea. Some even make it from the Southern Border into Canada.
Once they evade the Border Patrol along the Border and hook up with the smugglers in the interior US the skys the limit.
Run you cur! You tell all the other curs the laws comin! You tell em I'm comin! And Hells comin with me!
I'm sure some of them have even gone to Canada too.

If you rob a gas station, you're only going to get about $100, but I get to see a K9 dog use your arm as a chew toy. For all I care you can keep the $100.
Victoria Police Honour Roll - Line of Duty Deaths
Every time you hear on the news about people running away from a crazed gunman, someone's son or daughter in a police uniform is running TOWARD that crazed gunman.
Last week I saw one down at the Holiday Diner.. he was having lunch with Elvis.
No telling...too far, that's for sure.Originally Posted by Nate#2
As soon as they hit L.A. from mexico they could go anywhere, we have signs up all over Camp Pendleton waring us to watch out for illegals, even have some pretty gruesome stories about what happens when they wander onto the wrong part of the base.

Back in the late 1980s/early 1990s, I worked for a very large company that outsourced their facilities cleaning contract. The contractor brought in illegal aliens (mostly Colombians) to do the work. None of them understood any English, a couple of them admitted to my boss (Puerto Rican, so he was fluent in Spanish) and one of my engineers (who minored in Spanish) who they were and where they came from. One asked my boss to sponsor him so that he could become legal! Another proposed marriage to the engineer I mentioned above so that he could legally stay in the US . . . I'll say one thing for him, he had good taste, she was intelligent and good looking!
One day I paid a visit to INS in Boston with Reg No of van that brought them in and out daily and gave them what info that I had on them. Nothing seemed to happen thru the end of 1992 when I left the company. I also learned that this same crew cleaned one of the major universities in Boston and who knows where else.
Had one try to climb the fence at the ASP on Pendleton when I was pulling guard duty there. I don't think he was expecting a Marine Corps React team to come down on him. I've never seen a person that scared before :DOriginally Posted by 0311Marine
I'm Hub McCann. I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, killed many men and loved only one woman with a passion a flea like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am. Now, go home, boy!
You sure he was expecting it at all? He might have been surprized that you saw him in the first place.

Hahaha, it's hard to miss a 30 ft tall guard tower. I don't think he knew he was on base since it's so big you can easily miss any roads or camps easily. But the look on his face was priceless. I wish I had known spanish back then 'cause I'm sure he was spilling his guts to us.

Back in the Mid 80's a gaggle of IA's wandered into the impact area next to Las Pulgas. The Arty FO's saw em when an illum round popped. Unfortunately no HE was following the illum.

I have a friend whos an FO and he told me they actually wanderd into a range while they were firing HE the IA's werent as lucky as the ones that you talked about, they have also fallen asleep in a truck that was on a .50 cal Machine gun range, same result, it must have been a very rude awakining for about 2 sec. One was found dead behind a rifle range, they have no idea how long he had been there (no one really goes behind the ranges).Originally Posted by MOCOP

They have recently discovered several illegals working in a power plant - in Florida, I believe. Not just one... several... with access to secured areas (maintenance workers, I think). They have tight networks established everywhere - EVERYWHERE - they help eachother out with paperwork, jobs, housing, legal advice, etc. Watch eachother's backs. Their loyalty extends race and borders - it's all about what you can pay for services... and referals are big.
