Illegals pass bar, demand law licenses

An illegal alien who has broken U.S. immigration law at least twice in his life has passed the California bar exam – and he’s urging the state’s Supreme Court to allow him to become a lawyer.
Sergio Garcia, a 35-year-old Mexican-born illegal alien, was brought to the U.S. by his parents when he was 17 months old, according to the Daily Journal.
This should not be possible. Illegals are not allowed to work. Why isn't he deported?

He was 17 months old. Not many people make a lot of life decisions at that age. In fact, the failure of the government to deport his family while he was a minor and could be supported by them is the issue. He's not going to know any other life.

Think about how many memories you have from 18 months old. Someone could knock at your door tomorrow and say "there's been a mistake. Your birth certificate is a fake and your parents brought you here illegally. We're taking you to Mexico now. Your company fired you, too."

Punishing him for a crime his parents committed is a form of corruption of blood and is listed explicitly in the constitution as a no-no.

The issue I would have is how long he's known and why he hasn't corrected it. I believe there is a process that young adults can go through to get a green card and citizenship. If he knowing lied to obtain his law license, that's about the same level as lying as a police officer. Officer's of the court including judges, attorneys and police officers have the same standards for truth.

I disagree. They should not skip the line. Legal immigrants come here for citizenship & wait many years obeying the law, young & old. Secondly they are taking/competing with Americans for the same limited jobs.
