How does my background compare?!

Hello,

I will try to make it quick but long enough you may actually be able to give me solid advice.

I am 24 I currently have my Bachelor’s degree, solid work experience with no gaps or negative reviews that would come from supervisors and I work in corrections. Never been arrested or convicted of a crime. No tickets on my driving record. I have a clean background in the sense of anything documented.

Bad
Smoked weed 2 times over four years ago. Thought it was just tobacco but guess not.
Stole a video game when I was 14
Downloaded music/movies illegally, last time was over 8 years ago and all have since been deleted
When I was 17 my 16 year old girlfriend sent me pictures via text message. I opened them and they were nude. I deleted them and told her that we couldn't/shouldn't do that due to it being illegal (she was either unaware or just stupid). Yes, if it matters we were sexually active.
I also got two negligent driving 2nd degree tickets when I was 16, I had just got my license, one was dismissed and the second was deferred and then dismissed (I can only locate the court case for the second ticket.


That's what I have done, mistakes made and I learned from them. Please let me know what you think.

I forgot to add, I drank alcohol when I was 20 in college.

I don't think any of that would result in an automatic DQ.

The problem is that you will be going up against applicants who have a clean background.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...you should apply and see what happens.

The drug use is the biggest bruise and it isn't bad. The story that you thought it was tobacco is weak though.

My background's similar, except I never did drugs. I have one speeding ticket, and I've downloaded music, most recent being in 2007. I just got hired, so you should be okay. Plus, you said you're already working in corrections--that should look good.
