thought this was a long shot at the beginning, based on my age, history and relevant work experience, so I never really got my hopes up and kept waiting for the day the letter came, that said "thank you, but no."
Well, it came today, but instead of no, it said I was selected and the academy starts 1/2012.
Holy Crap. I made it.
Thanks for the advice at the beginning, and the "go for it" encouragement.
