Specific questions about my BG check

I am new to this site hello!

I have a couple questions and concerns.

Currently I am in college for criminal justice, I recently moved from another state to go to school, all on my lonesome. I took a bold chance and did something good for myself.

I am and have been working as a webcam model, first of all will this prevent me from becoming a cop? I have never done anything illegal (and this includes illegal as in, I have never been into drugs, got in trouble with the law, etc) Every time I am nude which is only 10% of the time, I can only do this on a private one on one session with the credit card payer. I do not make porns of myself, and my clients are mostly regulars and a lot of them don't even want me nude, they want to just talk about their day. I have made some very nice friends using the site. It has really helped my communication skills a lot as well. It has made me less shy, and I have a few new friends who are not perverted and pleasant.

My second concern is that if I get a BG check, will the police inform people of what I do for a living? I understand they talk to neighbors, friends, and friends of friends. This is a concern because I have a stalker ex boyfriend whom I have a restraining order against. (which is why I moved to another state) Also I do not want certain people to know I am a webcam model because of privacy issues.

While what you do isn't illegal, law enforcement agencies put a lot of emphasis on morals when it comes to hiring. How would it look if the headline on the newspaper was that a police officer was doing nude webcam modeling or stripping? I recall a few years ago when a female officer posed nude in some publication (may have been Playboy) without any identifying agency insignia on, yet she was still fired. It just doesn't look good and doesn't appear professional.

If you're serious about LE as a career path then I would stop the webcam modeling immediately and get another job.

We hired a woman who had worked for a short time as a topless dancer in Alaska. But that was back when we were desperate to hire women back in the 70's. She turned out to be an okay cop and recently retired. I think there might be a chance, but I would quit doing it immediately and find another job ASAP.
