A hard copy of credit report..

I'm currently in the background check process. And one of the materials they need from me is a sealed copy of my credit report. I checked credit report sites online and it seems all reports you only view online. It doesnt give me a option to get a physical copy of my report. The Department wants me to use either Trans Union or Experian. Doesnt anyone know how to get a physical copy of my report. thank you

Contact Trans Union or Experian and ask them. I'm sure their web sites have phone numbers.

He said he needed a "sealed copy". My department gets its own copies of applicants' credit reports. Seems odd.

When I applied to Myrtle Beach PD a few years ago they wanted one, but not sealed. I just printed it from one of those sites and they accepted it.

A good cop needs to be willing to investigate. They also need common sense and have a clue where and how to find answers. Police academies can't teach commom sense. While being a detective is not in your near future, you may want to dig a little deeper next time. Took me longer to post this than look it up. Google...website....consumer.....faq/help or search box. If you can't do this at home with a computer and no time limit, what happens at a crime scene under stress? Lots of folks want these few jobs....few are willing to dig and do the work to get it (whihc means they won't do any work on the job). Many want the easy way out. Don't get yourself labeled as one of those folks by the hiring agency.
